# Offer a custom box with subscription

You can offer your customers the option to **compose their own box** by selecting the products they want to receive at a given frequency as part of their subscription.

You can configure a **promotional offer** based on the number of products selected. Example:

- 1 product selected = -10%
- 2 products selected = -15%
- 3 products selected = -20%
- 4 products selected = -25%

The customer **selects their products** using categories if needed (a product is linked to a category), chooses the **frequency** at which they want to receive their box, and completes their order.

## Configure a custom box offer

### Step 1: Create box subscription frequencies

Start by creating the subscription frequencies that will be available for your custom box.

1. Go to **Subscriptions > Advanced > Frequencies**.

2. Click the create button in the top right and fill in the form:

   - **Site**
   - **Alert**: check it to send renewal notifications for this frequency
   - **Interval**: monthly, weekly, …
   - **Cycle Count**: 1, 2, …

For a monthly frequency, enter: monthly interval and 1 cycle. The subscription will renew on the anniversary date, every month.

### Step 2: Select products available for box composition

1. Go to **Products > Products**, then click the small pencil icon next to the product you want to make available during box composition.

2. Check the **Composable plan (frequencies)** box at the bottom of the product form and save. The box only appears when editing: the detail page of a product that is not a gift card does not show it.

The product will then be offered in the custom box.

### Step 3: Create a promotional offer based on the number of products added to the box

You have the option to **offer a discount** based on the quantity of products taken with subscription. Example:

- 1 product with subscription = -10%
- 2 products with subscription = -15%
- 3 products with subscription = -20%

This can be a percentage discount or a fixed amount.

1. To configure such an offer, go to **Subscriptions > Advanced > Composable offers**.

2. Click the create button in the top right and fill in the form:

   - **Quantity**: which product quantity the offer applies to
   - **Price**: fill in if you are offering a fixed amount discount
   - **Percent Off**: fill in if you are offering a percentage discount (enter 20 for 20%)
   - **Active**: for the offer to be displayed on the composition page
   - **Site**: to link the offer to your site
