Coupon rules

Coupons have several rules:

You can make them available for certain formulas only. If you don't enter any formula, then the coupon will be available on your E-Shop.
You can also choose to apply them to multiple collections.
You can also make a coupon usable several times (by different users).
You can program the invalidity of the discount code

Create a coupon

To create your first coupon, click on Marketing > Coupons > Create a coupon. Fill in the fields :

Code*: Corresponds to the code that the visitor will have to enter under his order summary, to benefit from the discount.
Amount*: Amount of the discount, in the following format: 10.90, 10, 11.49
Duration*: Can the code be used only on the first transaction, or does it have to be applied on several transactions?
Expiration*: Choose the date after which the coupon will no longer be usable.
Maximum number of uses*: For each coupon created, how many transactions can it be used on?

Two boxes are to be checked at the level of the coupons settings, in order to :
- reserve coupons for new accounts (created less than 24 hours ago)
- make the coupon valid only once per customer

Once your coupon is created, you must indicate for which formula it will be available. If you don't link your coupon to a formula, it will be available for the shop.

By checking the box "available in Shop and Subscription", the coupon is valid on all your formulas and products in unit sale.
This allows you to apply a discount to the cart for a product in unit sale that would be ordered with a subscription.

From the details of a subscription, you have the possibility to activate a discount on the next payment by selecting in the drop-down menu the action "**add a coupon for the next payment**". In this case, you must create the coupon that will be used on the next payment.

Clone a coupon to generate random promotional codes on the fly

You have created a coupon. You want to generate several coupons on the fly for a promotional action**.

From the coupon details, in the drop-down menu, choose the Coupon cloning action.

You then choose the number of coupons to generate with random codes.

You can find these coupons from the list of Coupons in the left column. By selecting them, you can export them.

For example: I want to generate 50 coupons, from my coupon Code PROMO1. 50 clone coupons will be created with a code that starts with PROMO1, but on which a random sequence of 5 characters will be added: PROMOab3s9.

Using the coupons

For your visitors, the coupon that is made available must be added by clicking on the link "_Add a promo codeo_" below the order summary before validating the purchase.

When the coupon can be added, it is added to the entire cart.

Your coupons allow you to boost your purchase. They can be applied to your formulas or your products. However, the best long-term investment in terms of acquisition must be made on your subscribers. Therefore, give priority to your coupons on your formulas (for example, for the management of abandoned baskets) and remember to manage your [advertising campaigns] (https://ciklik.academy/docs/marketing/creer-coupon-reduction/).
