# Reading a customer's activity log

> Box and PrestaShop
>
> This page applies to both box stores and PrestaShop stores.

The activity log traces what happened on a customer’s account, newest first, with the author of each action.

## Open the log

1. Open the customer’s profile in **Sales > Customers > Users**.

2. In the **Logs** tab group, open the **Activity Log** tab.

## Read a line

Lines are grouped by day (“Today”, “Yesterday”, then the date). Each line shows:

- **the time** of the action;
- **what happened**, in plain words: “Subscription started”, “Next payment date changed”, “Carrier changed”, “Subscription paused”, “Shipment created”, “Payment recorded”…;
- **the item concerned**, with a link to its record when it exists: a subscription and its identifier, a shipment and its scheduled date, a successful or failed payment, an address. The “deleted” mention flags an item that no longer exists;
- **the detail of the changes** when there are any, as “field: old value → new value” (for example **Next payment**, **Carrier**, **Status**);
- **the author**.

| Author shown          | Meaning                                                       |
| --------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **The customer** | The customer themself, from their account |
| Name of a team member | A person from your back office |
| **Ciklik**            | The Ciklik team                                               |
| **API (token name)** | An application connected through the API, with its token name |
| **Automatic**         | An automatic process (renewal, retry…)                        |
| **Deleted user** | An account that no longer exists |
| **Another account** | Any other account |

Identical actions in a row on the same day, on the same item and by the same author, fit on one line with the number of repeats (“3 times”).

## Filter the log

At the top of the log, buttons filter by item type: **All**, **Subscriptions**, **Shipments**, **Payments**, **Addresses**, **Profiles** and **Account**. You can combine several.

The log shows 50 lines at a time: the **Show older activity** button loads the rest.

> Note
>
> The log does not contain the orders themselves: find them in the **Orders** tab of the customer profile. The log cannot be exported.
