# Offer PayPal to your subscribers

> Box and PrestaShop
>
> This page applies to both box stores and PrestaShop stores. On a PrestaShop store, once PayPal is enabled, the Ciklik module offers it in your store’s checkout.

## PayPal Requirements

- Once the setup is complete, only use read-only access on your PayPal account.
- Refunds must be processed from your Ciklik account (see [Refund a transaction](https://www.ciklik.academy/en/paiements/rembourser-une-transaction/)).
- When a subscriber saves or changes their PayPal account as payment method, a transaction of 0.50 EUR is processed and immediately refunded.

## Verify Your PayPal Account

You must **have a verified PayPal business account**. The verification process is as follows: PayPal will initiate a direct debit from your bank account, and when doing so, PayPal will include a reference in the transaction description that you must confirm. This PayPal account verification step is mandatory to proceed.

## Connect Your PayPal Account to Your Ciklik Site

Before connecting your PayPal account from Ciklik, you will create your application and retrieve certain credentials.

1. Go to: <https://developer.paypal.com/dashboard/applications/live>

You will arrive at the interface shown below. Click on **Create App**.

2. Then enter an application name and check **Merchant - accept payments as a merchant (seller)**, and confirm.

3. The following window allows you to **save your credentials and password**. Save your credentials (Client ID) by copying them to a notepad for example (you will need them when performing the action from your Ciklik account). To save your password (Secret) in the same way, click on Show (to view your password).

4. In the next step, enter the webhook URL: your Ciklik site’s address followed by `/webhook/paypal`, that is `https://<your site's domain>/webhook/paypal`. On a PrestaShop store, use the domain of the Ciklik site associated with your store. Check the All events box and click Add webhook further down in the window.

5. Save the **webhook ID** (Webhook Id).

   You now have 3 credentials:

   - Client ID
   - Secret (password)
   - Webhook Id

6. Send these 3 credentials to <support@ciklik.co>, mentioning the site concerned: the Ciklik team enables PayPal on your site and confirms the setup.

7. In the PayPal application settings, then click on **advanced options**.

8. In the advanced options details, make sure **Vault** is checked. If not, check this box and save the changes.

## Pay for an Order with PayPal on Your Site

To complete their order, your subscriber can **choose between PayPal and credit card** as the payment method. By choosing PayPal, the subscriber can **click the PayPal button** and complete their order with this payment method.
