Create a custom box

Prerequisite: You must have configured your subscription plans.

As a reminder, here are the steps to follow: create a plan

To enable the customizable plan feature, access its details by clicking on Plans in the left column, then on the small pencil icon (edit).

Check the “Is the content customizable?” box in the Settings section of the plan.

Once the customizable plan is selected by a visitor, they can compose their box in one or more steps. These steps are called Categories.

Create your category(ies) corresponding to the box customization steps by clicking on Categories in the left column, under the Customization step section, click on “Attach category” and define the score associated with this category and its position (order of customization steps).

Prerequisite: You must have created your products. They must be active and a quantity must be entered.

As a reminder, here are the steps to follow: create a product

Access the details of each category created by clicking on Categories then View, and click on “Attach products”.

Select the desired product, assign it a score and define its position.

You can check the Preselect this product box if you want the product to be added to the cart by default when the visitor starts composing their box.

You can use a tag system on products offered in custom boxes.

  • Click on Taxonomy in the left section and name the filter where you will find your different tags (example: I create an Appellation taxonomy).
  • Click on Tag and create the tags associated with the desired filter (example: “organic wine” and “natural wine” in the Appellation taxonomy)

These filters will be available for products offered in the sales funnel when composing a box.

It is possible to add a step in the box composition to offer optional products where the customer chooses the desired quantity, without being limited by a score, so that their selection impacts the price of their order. To do this, create an addon of type “upsell customization”.

For each product, from the product detail page, if you create a FAQ block using the visual editor, it will be included and accessible in a small window when the visitor clicks on the product at the composition step, when selecting products for their package.

Access the content selected by a subscriber

To find the content of your subscribers’ custom boxes, go to the delivery slips section in the left column.

Select the desired delivery slips using the available filters and export your delivery slips file.

You will find the box content in your delivery slips file, in the Customization column.

Access from the My Account area for a subscriber

A subscriber can find the content of their customizable plan from their My Account area, in the My subscriptions section, via the view my selection link.

They can also modify the content of their subscription up to 48 hours before the delivery slip scheduling date.

The {*customization*} variable allows you to include the product selection details for customizable plans. It is available in the automatic emails for:

  • subscription confirmation
  • subscription resumption
  • package shipment notification

A subscriber who has signed up for a customizable plan and modifies their composition will be notified by email. This email can be customized in the Email Templates section > Your subscription has been modified.
