Retrieve newsletter subscriber email addresses

Visitors to your site can subscribe to your newsletter from the footer of your site, or from the content of your pages, if you have added the Newsletter block from the visual editor. Here is how to retrieve the email addresses of your newsletter subscribers. Prerequisites: you must create an account on Make.

Webhook Setup

1. From your Make account, click on scenario in the left column, then on the first module, at the large ’+’ in a circle. Search for the module named custom webhook and select it.

2. A unique identifier will be assigned to you. This identifier will be your webhook URL. Copy it.

3. In Settings > Sites, edit your site and open the Marketing Parameters tab. In the Webhooks field, add a line with the key created_optin and this webhook URL, then click Update. Details are in Activating and testing a webhook. The Newsletter block has no webhook field: every sign-up, from the footer or from a block, goes through this event.

The email addresses of new newsletter subscribers will then be transmitted to your Make scenario.
