Ciklik subscription module for PrestaShop

Key points

The Ciklik subscription module for PrestaShop adds subscription purchasing to your store’s product pages: the customer chooses between a one-time purchase and a subscription, then its frequency. The module works with PrestaShop 1.7.7 to 9.2 and PHP 7.2 to 8.4, and connects to your PrestaShop space in Ciklik with an API token. Ciklik charges your subscribers on each due date, creates the order in PrestaShop when the payment is accepted and automatically retries declined payments. Your customers manage their subscriptions from their “My account” area, and you follow them in the Ciklik app and in the PrestaShop back office.

Frequently asked questions

Which module should I install to sell subscriptions on PrestaShop?

The Ciklik module, downloaded from GitHub in the version that matches your server's PHP version. It connects to your PrestaShop space in Ciklik with an API token.

Is the Ciklik module compatible with my PrestaShop version?

The module works with PrestaShop 1.7.7 to 9.2 and PHP 7.2 to 8.4.

Do I need to create combinations to offer subscriptions?

Not necessarily. You can use combinations with the purchase type and subscription frequency attributes, or enable frequency mode, which makes a product eligible by ticking its frequencies in the Modules tab of the product page.

Who creates renewal orders in PrestaShop?

Ciklik. On each due date, it charges the subscriber and creates the order in PrestaShop if the payment is accepted. If the payment is declined, it schedules new attempts, up to 4 by default.

Can my customers manage their subscription themselves?

Yes. From their My account area, they see their subscriptions and can cancel and resume them. Depending on the options enabled in the module, they can also reschedule their next order, skip a delivery, change frequency or add products to their next order.
