Sent Emails

The Settings > Advanced > Sent Emails menu is the log of the emails Ciklik sends to your customers for your site. Use it to check that an email went out and arrived, or to understand why it failed.

Each line is an event reported by Mailgun, Ciklik’s sending service. One email therefore produces several lines: one when it is delivered, one for each open, one for each click.

ColumnContent
Created AtDate and time of the event.
StatusEvent type, see below.
EmailRecipient address.
SiteSite that sent the email.
SubjectEmail subject.

When you open a line (eye icon), you also see:

  • IP: IP address linked to the event, for example the one of the open;
  • Reason: the message returned by the recipient’s server, useful for a failure;
  • Location: city, region and country of the open or click;
  • Mail client: email software, system and device type.
StatusMeaning
DeliveredThe recipient’s server accepted the email.
OpenedThe email was opened. Some email clients open emails automatically or block this measurement: this status is only indicative.
ClickedA link in the email was clicked.
FailedThe email could not be delivered. The failure can be temporary: Mailgun then retries, and a Delivered line may follow. Check the Reason.
RejectedMailgun refused to send the email.
UnsubscribedThe recipient unsubscribed from the email.
SpamThe recipient reported the email as spam.
  1. Go to Settings > Advanced > Sent Emails.

  2. Type the customer’s address in the search.

  3. Narrow down if needed with the filters: Created Before, Created After, Site, Objets (email subject), Type de boite (domain of the address, for example gmail.com) and Type (status). These three filter names are only shown in French.

  4. Open the line to read the Reason for a failure.

The log is read-only: no action lets you resend an email from it.
