Set Up the Referral Program on My Site

To use the referral program, click on My Sites from the left column, then on the Edit icon.

On the Marketing Settings tab, fill in 3 fields:

• Check the referral box to activate this referral program
• Enter fixed amounts for the discounts assigned to:
• the referrer
• the referee

How Does It Work?

From their account, the subscriber can access the Referral section and find the link to share with the people they want to refer.

The referee can use their referral discount for a new account.

It must not be an existing account, even if the referee had not yet placed an order. It must be a new account.

For the referrer, it’s a discount on the next payment of the subscription that was active at the time of the referral, and for the referee, it’s a discount on the subscription they are signing up for.

A referrer can have multiple referees. However, the discounts do not accumulate on their next billing; they receive one discount (one coupon) per transaction, meaning one discount per month if they are on a monthly subscription.

Note: If two referees create their new subscriber account in the same month, only one discount is applied for the referrer on their next payment.

The variable {referral_url} is available in the subscription creation confirmation email. This variable corresponds to the link found in the My Account section when you are a customer. Feel free to use it to encourage your subscribers to share their referral link!
