Enable maintenance mode

You need to click on My Sites then on “Edit” on the row of the site you want to put in maintenance mode. In the “Basic Configuration” section, you will find: Online. Uncheck this box to switch to offline mode then click Save.

Be ignored by maintenance mode

In the same way, click on My Sites then on Edit. In the Basic Configuration section, you will find IP address to ignore in maintenance mode. The IP is essentially your computer’s address. It is a series of numbers in this format: 123.12.123.123 To obtain this address, you can go to http://monip.org This is the series of numbers you need to copy/paste in the IP address to ignore in maintenance mode section, to continue viewing the changes made to your site without it being online.
