How to Change the Next Payment Date for a Subscription?

From the subscription list, for the desired subscription, click on the Edit icon.

Select the desired date for the next payment.

Warning

Be careful to choose a payment date that is consistent with your billing cycle, which in most cases means a next payment date on the 1st of the month.

At this stage, nothing is modified for the delivery slips. You have only changed the next billing date.

Using the “Cancels On” Field

In the subscription box business, we operate on automatic renewal. Therefore, this field is empty.

However, for gift cards, this field is filled in to indicate the subscription period covered by the gift card.

You have the option to cancel the subscription by setting a date on which the subscription will be terminated.

5 days before this date, the subscriber is put on pause. This is an anticipation to avoid having inaccurate data the day before the next billing.

Therefore, if the date entered is less than 5 days from the day you fill in this field, it will not be taken into account.

Once this field is filled in from the back office, the subscriber no longer has control over the subscription from their account to interrupt or reactivate it. (This is essentially the same behavior as with a gift card).
