Offer PayPal to Your Subscribers
PayPal Requirements
Section titled “PayPal Requirements”- Once the setup is complete, only use read-only access on your PayPal account.
- Refunds must be processed from your Ciklik account. You must wait 24 hours before processing a refund.
- If a credit card is updated, a transaction of 0.50 EUR is processed and immediately refunded.
Verify Your PayPal Account
Section titled “Verify Your PayPal Account”You must have a verified PayPal business account. The verification process is as follows: PayPal will initiate a direct debit from your bank account, and when doing so, PayPal will include a reference in the transaction description that you must confirm. This PayPal account verification step is mandatory to proceed.
Connect Your PayPal Account to Your Ciklik Site
Section titled “Connect Your PayPal Account to Your Ciklik Site”Before connecting your PayPal account from Ciklik, you will create your application and retrieve certain credentials.
Go to: https://developer.paypal.com/dashboard/applications/live
You will arrive at the interface shown below. Click on Create App.

Then enter an application name and check Merchant - accept payments as a merchant (seller), and confirm.

The following window allows you to save your credentials and password. Save your credentials (Client ID) by copying them to a notepad for example (you will need them when performing the action from your Ciklik account). To save your password (Secret) in the same way, click on Show (to view your password).

In the next step, enter the webhook URL below replacing my-super-site.com with your domain name. Check the All events box and click Add webhook further down in the window.

Save the webhook ID (Webhook Id).

You now have 3 credentials:
- Client ID
- Secret (password)
- Webhook Id
Go to your Ciklik account, click on My Sites in the left column, then on View. At the … in the top right, select the Connect my payment method action, then choose PayPal as provider. Enter the 3 credentials you saved previously and confirm the action.

In the PayPal application settings, then click on advanced options.

In the advanced options details, make sure Vault is checked. If not, check this box and save the changes.

Pay for an Order with PayPal on Your Site
Section titled “Pay for an Order with PayPal on Your Site”To complete their order, your subscriber can choose between PayPal and credit card as the payment method. By choosing PayPal, the subscriber can click the PayPal button and complete their order with this payment method.
